Foodbyphone.com – Delivers foods from International restaurants in Bangkok – April 24, 2012
The Project
FoodByPhone.com offers a service to restaurants by providing an alternative sales channel as well as a service to customers by bringing to them the food that they could only get by braving the terrible Bangkok traffic.
They hired me in February to redesign their website to look modern, clean, intuitive while remaining familiar with the old site. During our first meeting, I proposed a couple of ideas such as making it easy for users to order food in just a few clicks. This involved creating different sections on the home page such as “My Recent Orders”, “Recommended for you”, “New restaurants”, “Favorite Restaurants”… I also proposed to create a sticky navigation so user always have access to the “Checkout” and “Menu Index” buttons even when scrolling down the page. Etc. All my ideas were well received and they gave me green light to design the changes.
