Is it possible to place a widget on the top of sidebar instead of logo image?

I don’t know what kind of widget you are using but yes, you can place whatever you want as long as it fit into it.

how do i get rid of the yellow text link over the header image? where can if find that in the code?

Thanks for the theme! Is there any way to make pages with parents not show up on the sidebar?
